March 8th is International Women’s Day—a day to reflect on and celebrate all that is feminine. While women have made some significant advances in developed nations, they still wear many hats every day: mother, daughter, sister, wife, businesswoman, entrepreneur, and more. They work diligently to effectively juggle all of those roles.
But the reality is that millions of women around the world also face oppression and poverty every day. In many cases, they are denied access to education.
You already know that I am committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and you already know that #10 (Reduced Inequalities) means a lot to me. In fact, it is one of the four key reasons that I dedicate myself to my work every day. I am determined to make information and knowledge more available to more persons, regardless of their geographic location, socio-economic status, or gender.
